What is Price Match?
At Anderson’s Supermarket, we’re committed to delivering everyday value. Our Price Match Promise means we’ve lowered prices on hundreds of your favourite grocery items to match the everyday shelf prices at Coles and Woolworths, Australia’s major supermarket chains.
There’s nothing extra you need to do. No coupons, no sign-ups, no scanning apps. The price you see on the shelf is already matched and ready for you.
How does Price Match work?
We select a range of popular grocery essentials that our customers regularly shop for. While not every item in store is price matched, we focus on the products that matter most to families.
Each week, we check a sample of Coles and Woolworths stores across every state. We look at their standard shelf prices for identical products, excluding items on special, discounted due to damage, or part of multi-buy promotions.
When matching, we always go with the lower of the two prices - Coles or Woolworths. The updated Price Match prices come into effect in our stores every Wednesday, based on prices from the previous week.
Price Match applies to identical items in terms of brand, pack size, flavour and variety. If the product size is different, we calculate a pro-rata match based on price per unit. In cases where a specific brand or product isn’t available at Coles or Woolworths, we match to the closest comparable item.
Please note, fresh food items such as fruit, vegetables, meat, seafood, bakery, cold drinks and deli goods are not included in the Price Match range. Fuel and tobacco products are also excluded.
Occasionally, a Price Match item may also go on promotion at Anderson’s Supermarket. If that happens, you’ll always pay the lower price - whether it’s the matched price or the promotional one.
If either Coles or Woolworths stops selling a product, we continue to match against the chain that still stocks it. If both discontinue it, we match to the last available lower price until we remove it from the range.
If for any reason we’re unable to update a Price Match item on time, we’ll keep the previous matched price in place until we can make the change or remove the item.
Store participation and availability
Price Match is available in participating Anderson’s Supermarket stores. As all Anderson’s Supermarket locations are independently operated, product ranges may vary and not all stores will carry the full Price Match range. All items are subject to availability.
